Does it matter more when you sleep than how long?

The advice has always been eight hours. A run of large cohort studies now finds that going to bed and getting up at roughly the same time predicts health outcomes better than how many hours you log — including in people who sleep less than the recommended amount. Regularity appears to be the lever most people are not pulling.
