This development follows a recent working visit to facilities in China, where the platform is already in commercial use. VitaGuard is a liquid biopsy tool that detects circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in blood samples, allowing for ongoing monitoring of solid tumors without needing a specific tumor tissue sample. This could simplify cancer monitoring and make it more accessible for patients in Southeast Asia.

For individuals interested in healthy aging and cancer management, the introduction of VitaGuard could mean more frequent and less invasive monitoring of cancer progression or remission. With a potential cost of under $300 per test, this platform aims to make molecular monitoring more affordable in healthcare systems that prioritize cost-effectiveness.
