A new drug, TNX-103, has shown promising results in a recent Phase 3 clinical trial for patients with pulmonary hypertension related to heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (PH-HFpEF). While the drug did not meet its primary goal of improving the distance patients could walk in six minutes compared to a placebo, it did demonstrate significant benefits for those with more severe disease. Specifically, patients who initially walked less than the median distance improved their walking distance by an average of 26.3 meters. This is notable because it suggests that TNX-103 may be particularly beneficial for individuals who are most affected by this condition.
